Literature Text

The snow is falling thickly.
It’s getting hard to see.
Come in, my dear, and warm
Yourself before you start to freeze.

Your lips are chapped, your cheeks
Are flushed, your hands are cold like ice;
I can see you shivering. You
Must quickly come inside.

-
It’s starting to get cold enough
To begin nipping your nose,
And the wind is seeping through
Your socks and tickling your toes.

I know that it’s so brisk that
It’s becoming hard to breathe.
You should grab a blanket
And come snuggle up with me.
-
This is snuggle weather.

We’re sitting by the flames.
It no longer feels as cold.
The room is still. The fire burns.
We don’t think about the snow.

I know that we’re meant to be
Because your hand fits in mine.
I love everything about you
And our fingers soon entwine.

-
It’s starting to get cold enough
To begin nipping your nose,
And the wind is seeping through
Your socks and tickling your toes.

I know that it’s so brisk that
It’s becoming hard to breathe.
You should grab a blanket
And come snuggle up with me.
-
This is snuggle weather.

Bridge:
Do not count your problems
And don’t let yourself fret.
I’ll hold onto you tight
And you’ll quickly forget.
-

You’ll forget the cold weather
And just think of the warmth.
I’ll keep you right here,
Wrapped up tight in my arms.

This is snuggle weather.
55 When it gets cold, the best thing, in my opinion, is to snuggle.
